Saturday evening May 9 & optional sleep over – Hunter Valley NSW
Join us and Kevin Kelly,
World renowned Bodhran (Irish) drumming workshop leader around
the fire circle on a FULL WESAK MOON and beautiful
20 acre property on the spectacular Sugarloaf Mountain Range at
Brunkerville (near Freemans Waterhole) lower Hunter Valley. A fun
filled evening with friends, learning & embracing the rhythms of
nature in this powerful environment.
Make a weekend of it – Come
early and enjoy the Hunter Valley vineyards then a
relaxing dinner at sunset overlooking magnificent Mt
Vincent from the homestead, surrounded by National
Parks.
Make it twice the fun – Stay for Sunday
and enjoy the Hunter Valley highlights, or a walk in
the Watagan Mountains.
Program
• Arrive between
4–6 pm – a warm welcome awaits you from Lynne &
Richard and our farmyard friends. Helping hands allow you
enjoy the serenity of sunset as we settle under the stars. Pitch a tent
near the fire circle or unroll your swag in the cosy homestead. Tea/Coffee
on arrival.
• 6pm – Barbecue dinner and “Moonrise Feast”
• 7.30pm – Drumming Workshop by Kevin
Kelly founder BodhranWorld – Once settled everyone is
presented with a Frame Drum, Case and Stick. Kevin teaches a great
array of rhythm patterns with lots of FUN group exercises. Learn
rhythms, reels and jigs, ambient drumming, volume & stick
techniques, playing with tones, ambient beats, traditional Celtic
rhythms and interactive answer and call sessions. These drumming
patterns will be filled with FUN.
• 9pm – Supper & billy tea / coffee
/ snacks
• 10pm – A fascinating presentation on Sound, Songlines
& Sacred Sites by Richard O’Neill.
• 10:30 till late – Moonlight Drumming Circle
• Hot Drinks and a roaring fire are to be enjoyed throughout the
evening.
About Kevin Kelly
Kevin
has successfully run team building and motivation days at great outdoor
locations both in the UK and Australia, incorporating an element of FUN
whilst getting the corporate message across.
Kevin also entertains guests at Weddings and Corporate Dinners and gets
them involved in creating their own entertainment.
Author of “Live Life on the Edge” the audio CD that introduces the art
of Bodhrán percussion, Kevin makes “SLEEPY SEMINARS” a thing of
the past.
The
Guinness Book of Records recognised Kevin as creating the largest
gathering of Bodhran Drummers in the World.

Weekend + Workshop Details
Includes Professional tuition, FREE drum to use on the evening, Fire
Circle, BBQ, sausage sizzle & supper. BYO drum if
preferred. BYO bedding (eg sleeping bag, blanket & airbed), tent if
desired or available to hire ($15), sleep round the fireplace, balcony,
marquee or reserve a bedroom.
Cost including Tuition and
BBQ dinner, drum for the night only $129. If
staying overnight, please book to reserve best options – Overnight cost
$ 30 includes breakfast. Drums available for loan & for sale on the
night.
