NEW DATES for these iconic tours
Thank you for your interest in our Corner Country Tours — where the three states of South Australia, New South Wales and Queensland meet.
This area is steeped in early pioneer history with Burke and Wills Dig Tree by Cooper Creek, Innamincka’s 1928 hospital and thriving wool and cattle industries using the Birdsville, Oodnadatta and Strzelecki tracks.

We have been sharing this region with travellers for nearly 20 years so we will introduce you to a few locals, and local landmarks like the Mound Springs from the Artesian Basin, Overland Telegraph Line and Old Ghan Railway.
You will experience personalized, extraordinary value in very comfortable small group (4-6 people) luxury 4WD vehicles. We take you to special places others don’t know about and share a rare depth of connection to this country.

It’s interesting to reflect on the travel experiences that make the most sense for us throughout our lives. In our 20s, the focus is on fun, friends and partying. As kids come into the picture, we turn to holidays by the beach, caravan parks and kids clubs!
But by our 60s, many of us seek deeper meaning from our adventures. We begin to yearn for a connection with the land, with other people and even with ourselves.
From my experience guiding people on adventures throughout Australia, I’ve seen first-hand that the earth is a magnetic place and Australia in particular, is one of the most mesmerising locations you can explore. With one of the oldest, richest, continuous cultures on the planet, there are endless opportunities for people to find a sense of place, a sense of wellbeing and a sense of community. All essential ingredients to feed your soul.
ACTION:
A life well-travelled is a life well-lived and travelling well is all about making deeper connections along your journey. So, what is important to you? What connections will feed your soul? Write a Connections List, a list of all the things that are important to you, like friendships, nature, your partner and the land. Then develop a Connections Matrix where you rank each item and their relative importance to you, where 1 is least important and 5 is very important. This will help you plan a holiday that deep down, nourishes you.

Birdsville used to be the customs post for goods and cattle travelling to and from South Australia before Federation. It was the route used by the great cattle drovers, including S. Kidman & Co, and there’s plenty of this history to experience in Birdsville, especially at the local museum, adjacent the tasty treats of the Hard Road Cafe. Today we visit Big Red, the Simpson Desert’s biggest sand hill, and see Burke & Wills marked tree on the Diamantina River. An optional flight over the Simpson Desert and Goyder Lagoon is available here. We head off south on the Birdsville Track following the spectacular Diamantina River past Pandie Pandie station and Goyder Lagoon.
